to Colorado Springs, the second largest city in the state of Colorado.
Colorado Springs is also referred to as the Pikes Peak region, as
it has so much history connected with the mountain. The area is comprised
of many towns that have merged into this single metropolitan area.
Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, Monument, Palmer Lake, Fountain,
Fountian Valley, and Widefield are a few of the cities and municipalities
located in the region, some of which are just minutes from downtown
Colorado Springs. The beautiful scenery you'll enjoy while driving
to the other destinations will simply take your breath away. Coloradans
have the luxury of seeing all four seasons in this area. Our climate
offers the changing of the aspen, snowcapped peaks, spring flowers,
and moderate summers annually. There is always a reason to go outside,
as our region is blessed with over 300 days of sunshine every year.
